FER Table Collection

Magnus Sangild, 2021

INTRODUCING FER

Introducing the FER table collection by Mazo - a refined exploration of shape and design. This innovative series combines sturdy oak legs with the sleek elegance of white piano lacquer, creating a soft, broken circle that defines the unique character of each table.

FER Table Collection

Gravitational solid oak legs gracefully meet creamy white piano lacquer in a soft, broken circle. With an invitation to let everything from books to your legs, light and heavy, rest on the solid craftsmanship.

''In our work, we focus precisely on the functional design, where the function is the priority, and where the aesthetics originate from the function''

A study in material contrasts

We chose to work with two very contrasting materials that cooperate in a way where the clean surface is fragmented by the basic, dark, and slightly heavy legs, which – as the Latin word FER also refers to – supports the table surface.

The creation of the FER table began in the wood workshop of designer and cabinetmaker Magnus Sangild, nestled along the tranquil coast of Øresund. Surrounded by the raw beauty of the materials, Magnus explored endless possibilities, allowing the natural environment to inspire his process. This peaceful setting guided his vision, resulting in the perfect balance between sleek, refined surfaces and the solid, grounded presence of the sturdy oak legs.
